The Amazing Spiderman

So I went to see spiderman or as they call it The Amazing Spiderman. [Deep sigh] I’m not a huge fan but I do know the story behind the hero and of course the allure of 3D brought out my movie yearning. I must say I was greatly dissappointed, the 3D in my opinion didn’t feel like 3D at all and I could actually count the points when I actually felt as if the movie jumped at me. Then I was even further dismayed by how much they humanised him in the movie, he got seriously hurt quite often in fact more often than I had hoped, maybe I had just expected too much from the movie producers all together. The humor was at an ok level but you don’t usually expect that from action movies, romance was captivating and well brought across, I must however say the antagonist was perhaps the best thing in the movie. I can say I especially didn’t like how many times his mask came off, two is too much, and him getting shot and requiring the help of cranes further humanised him to an unacceptable point. The suspence was limited in my opinion and there where times when some things were revealed too early overall I’d give this movie a 2.5 out of 5

Denbeigh

The denbeigh agricultural show is the second place on my jamaica 50 experience list, held in the beautiful parish of Clarendon, jamaica, this event showcases talent and the pure outcome of hardwork and dedication, farmers bring both animals and produce to the show grounds where various contestants vye for the champion title an various, medals and ribons.
Apart from being suitable for the general audience, by providing entertaining displays it also generates a wealth of general knowledge that may come in handy in the near or distant future. Some particularly distinguished displays were the cane sugar broiler that showed the step by step process to achieving cane juice as well as molasses and sugar, guests were also allowed free samples of the delicate no preservative added cane juice which was rich, soothing and delicious, another spectacular display was that of the green house, this area stocked a wide variety of plants that could be purchased and taken home to start you off or add to a beautiful landscape, parish themed booths were also set up,with helpful and friendly guides to assist and provide answers to any questions regarding the exhibit.Despite the rainy weather, patrons seemed to have been enjoying themselves to max, caring little about the (self proclaimed) designer shoes they sported, all in good fun I suppose 🙂 . The journey back home was met with more rainy weather, especially on the highway but even the deep grey skies didn’t damped my mood as the excitement the had filled me still bubbled and turned inside me. Leaving me in great anticipation for next years event.

My jamaica 50 experience

Jamaica 50 has truly been quite exceptional in my opinion, I must say it was delightful and energising. Despite only attending two jamaica 50 endorsed celebrations, I was definately enticed and enjoyed it to the max.
I felt as if I was witnessing the jamaican spirit coming to life and igniting the hearts of all those around it. Joy and anticipation flooded the Jamaica 50 Emancipation village carrying with it a vibe like no other I had ever seen or come across, the thousands that had traversed to village seemed to not mind bumping into other people or the overall crowd, what stood out in my head the most was perhaps the variety of booths that were on display,it felt almost like a mall in essence, with dozens of souvenirs, food, beverages, and actual companies who wanted to promote their good our service. Overall the feeling was extraordinary and was something I was glad I had not missed. It was to be honest elegant, memorable and truly jamaican. A wonderful 50,and may the next 50 in 2062 be just as prosperous.
